St George’s staff and families take on Run or Dye

St George's – Run or Dye

On Sunday 2nd July, families and staff from St George’s Community Children’s Project took on the 5K Run or Dye race at Penshurst Place. So far they’ve raised nearly £1200 in sponsorship money.

All the money raised will go towards improving the nursery and providing subsidised childcare places to local families in need.

The Run or Dye race gives people of all ages and abilities the chance to experience a festival of colour. Thousands of people took part in the race this year, with runners encouraged to get head-to-toe covered in colour before running, jogging, dancing or walking to the finish line.

Zsuzsi Pap, senior childcare leader, said: “It was a great experience – I had lots of fun. I’m so glad to have been part of a team raising money for St George’s.”

Ellie Stewart, fundraising manager, said: “We all really enjoyed the race and helped to motivate each other along the way. We’ve still got sponsorship money coming in, and everything we raise will make a real difference to the children at St George’s.”
