Growing, exploring and having fun

38 weeks a year, Little Dragons provides morning and afternoon sessions of fun and learning. Our wonderful team will gently encourage your child to join in with all sorts of age-appropriate activities that are planned from the children’s own interests. Our playgroup room is divided into different areas with lots of different age-appropriate toys and games to develop their imaginations and skills. We allow them to choose whatever they want to play with so they become independent, inquisitive learners and more confident in making their own decisions.

We also offer FREE weekly Music, Singing and Yoga sessions with Musical Bumps and Tatty Bumpkin and Forest School classes with Lisa Cobb which the children really enjoy and engage with!

A chance to learn, inside and out

As well as toys and games, we have a quiet corner where the children can snuggle up and read a book with staff or friends. Outside, our large garden gives our Little Dragons the space to run around and play balancing, jumping, climbing, catching and exploring games. They even have a vegetable plot so they can plant, look after, cook and eat their own fruit and veg.

Settling in visits

We know that it isn’t always easy leaving your child at a new playgroup for the first time, that’s why we offer settling in visits before they start Little Dragons. This gives you the chance to get to know the team and your child’s Key Person, and for us to ask lots of questions about your child and their daily routine so that everything goes as smoothly as possible.

Join in the fun

Little Dragons holds regular social events, such as end of term coffee mornings, summer sports days and a Christmas concert. These fun get-togethers give you the chance to meet other parents and get involved. As a charity, we also need to fundraise and if you wish, you can help out at St George’s in many ways.
