We know that it isn’t always easy leaving your baby at nursery, but we’re here to make it as easy as possible. No one knows them as well as you do, so during your settling in visits, we will ask you lots of questions about your baby and their daily routine so we can follow it as closely as possible.
Happy baby and a happy you
Like you, we want to ensure your baby gets the best possible start in life. Each day, our Squirrels staff will set up a variety of activities for them to enjoy. These fun activities will be changed regularly to stimulate their natural curiosity.
Encouraging language development, coordination and motor skills
We have a huge selection of blocks, bricks, puzzles and a special role-play area for older babies to act out familiar scenarios from home. Our collection of soft toys and cushions makes the Squirrels’ book corner the perfect place to snuggle up for a cuddle and a story, and of course, craft activities and sand and water play are always popular – but you’ll need to bring suitable play clothes and spare clothes in case your child gets messy.
The outdoor area is for all the children. Squirrels also have their own garden, so if the older children are out they can use the baby area. We will ask you to bring sun cream and a sun hat in the summer and suitable clothing in the winter. Besides this, you will also have to supply nappies, formula milk and bottles until your baby has moved on to cows milk, which we will then provide.
