We offer a complete, flexible childcare service, 51 weeks of the year.
What you can expect from us
Our experienced and long-serving staff follow a clear development programme to help each child with their social, emotional and physical growth. They are carefully chosen, not only for their professionalism, but because they really care about the wellbeing of our children and fit in with the St George’s ‘family’.
Our spacious nursery offers a nurturing environment with fantastic play areas and a large garden, all designed with fun and safety in mind. Our play areas include:
- Separate area for babies
- Wooden adventure cabin for budding explorers
- Mini allotments
- Soft floor area with a large climbing frame and slide
- Natural area
- Mud Kitchen.
We want all of our children to grow and meet their full potential. Through group work, open play and one-to-one sessions, we help them reach development targets for numeracy, literacy and social skills. Find out more about learning through play
Our kitchen provides a variety of tasty, age-related, seasonal meals and snacks, freshly prepared on-site from locally sourced produce. Every child receives at least one tasty and nutritious hot meal each session, as well as healthy snacks and drinks.

A special place for your child
St George’s is a not-for-profit organisation – Registered Charity No: 802017. All financial resources are dedicated to the care of our children. We believe in providing the best possible care and value for money; there is no registration fee and no charge for bank holidays.
We are able to offer subsidised places to families in financial difficulty or children in vulnerable circumstances. Subsidised places are made possible through our programme of charity fundraising. No contribution is taken from families that pay full fees.
From September 2017, we will be offering 30 hours of free childcare for 3 and 4 years old of eligible working parents and 15 hours free childcare to eligible 2 year olds with the Free For 2 scheme.
