St George’s reaches the finals of the Nursery World Awards

St George’s Childcare was shortlisted for a national Nursery World Award in recognition of our support of families through our subsidised childcare scheme.

The Nursery World Awards is organised each year by Nursery World magazine and celebrates the best of UK childcare and early years education. St George’s was shortlisted in the Community Support category.

We’re the only nursery in Tunbridge Wells to provide childcare at a low cost or free of charge to families in need. It means we can support vulnerable children and families in crisis due to domestic violence, illness and financial hardship.

Morgane Glew, St George’s business manager said: “We’re delighted to have reached the finals of the Nursery World Awards. It shines a light on the passion and dedication of St George’s staff, as well as parents and the local community who help us to fundraise for this vital service.”

Martha Bradbury, events executive, said: “This is a tremendous achievement against incredibly tough competition this year.”

Congratulations to all the finalists and winners, who were announced at a ceremony in London on Saturday 23 September 2017.
